Traverse City’s Top Comics has been Northern Michigan’s premiere comic book and collectibles shop since 1988! Originally opened in August of 1988 as Top of the Ninth by Bill West, the store initially focused on sports cards and memorabilia with a smaller emphasis on comic books.  Bill’s sense of humor and warm nature made sure Top adapted over the years to become the destination for comics in the region for over two decades.  Sadly, we lost Bill in October of 2006 and have been trying to live up to his legacy ever since.  After some adjustment and an eventual relocation down the road in October of 2009 we reemerged as Top Comics.    After over three decades total on 8th Street we have settled in our final current location on West South Airport Road in May of 2020.
